Testimony! God deeply cares for the little things

I gained a dear friend from Brisbane, Australia during my time at YWAM Perth. Saying goodbye in March was especially difficult because I wasn't sure if I would ever get to see her again... But here is a testimony of how God has been faithful to Sarah (and me:)

For about 5 or 6 months, Sarah had been praying for finances to get to Canada for a wedding in June 2019. It seemed impossible, and most people were discouraging her that God wouldn't provide the money. But Sarah knew God told her that He would get her to this wedding.

This past month, apart from one another, Sarah and I "stood by" each other in faith that God would provide this money for her.

I woke up this morning with the following text from Sarah, "CORRIE"

Sarah's friend gave her all the money she needed to get to the wedding in Canada.

I am amazed at this testimony that God holds true to His promises; God told Sarah she would go, and in due time God provided the finances for her.

God deeply deeply cares for the little things that we desire. He even wants them for us more than we do! He has our utmost interest in mind- He knows what is best for us. I feel extraordinarily grateful as well because Sarah may get a layover in San Diego which is an answer to one of my personal prayers- that I would get to see one of my best friends again.

If we limit God to "this big" (pinch index finger and thumb together) we only allow Him to work that much in our lives, but when we take God out of the box that we've tried to stuff him into, we allow Him to have His way in our lives. It requires surrendering control and putting our faith, hope, and trust in our Heavenly Father-who knows us better than we know ourselves!
